Yards and yards of pink satin have been used in this Arnold Scassi boutique gown. Scaasi studied under Charles James and you can see that influence heavily in this particular piece. How can you not instantly fall in love with a gown with bows down the side. The soft Barbie pink gives it a romantic princess feel. The bodice has wide and simple strapless and is gathered down one side and caught up in the bows down the side. I love how he has extended this down and past the hips, bringing the line slightly up at the front to trick the eye into seeing a smaller waist and down into a deep point at the back to make the eye travel and give length. The skirt is so dramatic and full - a true ballgown skirt. The inside construction is fabulous - layers of fine pink silk with a broad band of horsehair taping at the bottom inner hem. Excellent condition

Fully interlined in a matching pink silk organza through the skirt and pink silky rayon through the bodice. It closes with a back metal and nylon zipper. The bodice is boned. The skirt has an inner more fitted skirt and between this and the outer layer is layers of pink tulle. Both the inner and outer layer of the skirt have bandings of stiffened netting to help hold the shape.
