Even though this is a dress that was probably produced in the eighties and has lots of those eighties elements (dots and gathers anyone?) it still has those classic Oscar lines that make it timeless. His master touch makes it perfectly eighties, but in the best possible way. It has a bit of the forties feel to it but with his classic understated way. It is made from a black silk crepe with those fantastic large white dots scattered over the surface. The neckline is square cut and the sleeves kept shorter. The bodice has been draped and gathered all the way around the torso. From the waist the skirt falls in an elegant and slim column to just past the knee. This is a gorgeous little piece that could be paired with neutrals or brights and easily go from day to evening. The dots give it a high impact factor. Excellent condition.
Fully interlined with a black crepe chiffon through the skirt and back silky rayon through the bodice. It closes with a back zipper. Hand finishes.
